Ask: "What does reciting the Qur'an 'rightly' mean?"

Play the short Al-Baqarah clip of ayah 121 from Tafseer Of Quran.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who truly believes in the Book?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Is reciting rightly only about sound?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Baqarah is surah 2. Find ayah 121. Scholars say reciting it rightly means reading it correctly, understanding it and following it. All three matter.

Fact: Tilawah means both reciting and following.

Ages 5–8: Three steps. Read an ayah, learn its meaning, act on it.

Ages 9–12: Rightly. Write the three parts of reciting rightly.

Finish with: "Tilawah means reciting and ___."

Talk together:
