Ask: "Why might a rule change over time?"

A short clip on My #QuranTime recites ayat 106–109 of Al-Baqarah. Play the whole clip.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What does Allah bring instead?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why would Allah change a ruling?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Baqarah is surah 2. Find ayah 106. Some rulings were revealed in stages, like a teacher teaching step by step. Allah always brings what is better or equal. This is called naskh.

Fact: Naskh means a later ruling replacing an earlier one.

Ages 5–8: Step by step. Talk about learning something in steps.

Ages 9–12: Stages. Write why rules came in stages.

Finish with: "Allah brings something better or ___."

Talk together:

• What does Allah bring?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• Why stages?
• What did you learn in steps?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will learn something new step by step."

• Allah teaches in steps.
• Always better.
• Trust His wisdom.
• Next time: the next ayah (2:107) says Allah owns the heavens. Explore it together!
