يَرِثُنِى وَيَرِثُ مِنْ ءَالِ يَعْقُوبَ ۖ وَٱجْعَلْهُ رَبِّ رَضِيًّۭا
Yarithunī wayarithu min' 'āli yaʻ'qūba . wa-j'ʻal'hu rabbi raḍiyyan
"(One that) will (truly) represent me, and represent the posterity of Jacob; and make him, O my Lord! one with whom Thou art well-pleased!"

Zakariya asked for a child who would carry on his work and the family of Yaqub, and whom Allah would be pleased with.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What kind of person would you love to become?"

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Zakariya want his child to be?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why ask for a child Allah is pleased with?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Maryam is surah 19. Find ayah 6. Zakariya didn't ask for a rich or famous child. He asked for one who would please Allah. That is the dearest hope parents have for their children.
Fact: Find a du'a for good children in Al-Furqan (25:74).
Ages 5–8: Pleasing deeds. Draw three things that please Allah.
Ages 9–12: My hope. Write what kind of person you want to grow into.
Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___, ayah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will pick one deed each day that Allah loves."
Action: Pick one deed each day that Allah loves.
