قَالَ هَٰذَا رَحْمَةٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّى ۖ فَإِذَا جَآءَ وَعْدُ رَبِّى جَعَلَهُۥ دَكَّآءَ ۖ وَكَانَ وَعْدُ رَبِّى حَقًّۭا
Qāla hādhā raḥ'matun mmin rrabbī . fa'idhā jā'a waʻ'du rabbī jaʻalahu dakkā'a . wakāna waʻ'du rabbī ḥaqqan
He said: "This is a mercy from my Lord: But when the promise of my Lord comes to pass, He will make it into dust; and the promise of my Lord is true."

He said this was a mercy from his Lord, and when his Lord's promise comes He will flatten it, for His promise is true.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Who did Dhul-Qarnayn thank for the barrier?"
Raad Muhammad Al-Kurdi recites Al-Kahf on The Glorious Quran. A few minutes is plenty.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did he call the barrier?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why didn't he take the credit?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Kahf is surah 18. Find ayah 98. After a huge achievement, he said 'this is a mercy from my Lord.' He didn't boast. And he knew even this wall would end when Allah wills.
Fact: Find the ayah where Sulayman says 'this is from my Lord's favour' (An-Naml 27:40).
Ages 5–8: Credit to Allah. After finishing something, say 'alhamdulillah, this is from Allah'.
Ages 9–12: Humble success. Write how to stay humble after success.
Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___, ayah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will thank Allah after each success."
Action: Thank Allah after each success.
