قَالَ لَا تُؤَاخِذْنِى بِمَا نَسِيتُ وَلَا تُرْهِقْنِى مِنْ أَمْرِى عُسْرًۭا
Qāla lā tu'ākhidh'nī bimā nassītu walā tur'hiq'nī min' 'am'rī ʻus'ran
Moses said: "Rebuke me not for forgetting, nor grieve me by raising difficulties in my case."

Musa asked him not to blame him for forgetting and not to make things too hard for him.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How do you apologise for forgetting?"
Play a few minutes of the recitation and listen gently, like a patient student.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Musa ask?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How did Musa apologise?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Kahf is surah 18. Find ayah 73. Musa admitted he forgot and asked for understanding. A good apology is honest and humble.
Fact: Find the du'a 'our Lord, don't blame us if we forget' (Al-Baqarah 2:286).
Ages 5–8: Sorry card. Make a sorry card for someone.
Ages 9–12: Apology. Write what makes a good apology.
Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___, ayah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say sorry sincerely when I forget."
Action: Say sorry sincerely when you forget.
