Start with bismillah.

Ask: "How would you feel if someone damaged a boat you were on?"

Deinvater1 has the whole of Al-Kahf by Islam Sobhi. Play just the first stretch.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did the teacher do to the boat?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why couldn't Musa stay quiet?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Kahf is surah 18. Find ayah 71. The teacher acted by Allah's command and knowledge. Musa didn't know the reason and spoke up. We must never copy this; the reason comes later in 18:79.

Fact: Read 18:79: why was the boat damaged?

Ages 5–8: Boat craft. Make a paper boat and talk about helping people at sea.

Ages 9–12: Hidden reasons. Write about something that looked bad but turned out good.

Finish with: "I found the reason was ___."

Talk together:

• Why did Musa speak up?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• Is there always a hidden reason?
• Why must we never copy this?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will wait to learn the reason before I judge."

• Wait before judging.
• Make a boat.
• Share your writing.
• Next time: the next ayah (18:72) gives the teacher's reminder. Explore it together!

Action: Wait to learn the reason before you judge.
