Ask: "What helps you find the right way?"

Bandar Baleela, an imam of the Haram, recites ayat 9–15 in a short clip. Listen for where the Quran is described as a guide.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Where does the Quran guide to?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does the Quran guide me every day?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Isra is surah 17. Find ayah 9. The Quran is like a compass that always points to what is right. It guides our words, actions and choices, and promises a great reward.

Fact: What did travellers use to find their way before compasses? Find two ways (stars, sun).

Ages 5–8: Way finder. Use the sun to work out which way is east from your window.

Ages 9–12: Guided. Write one way the Quran has guided you.

Finish with: "I found travellers used ___ and ___."

Talk together:

• How does the Quran guide?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• Which ayah guides you?
• Where do you need guidance?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will act on one ayah I learn."
