ذُرِّيَّةَ مَنْ حَمَلْنَا مَعَ نُوحٍ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَبْدًۭا شَكُورًۭا
Dhurriyyata man' ḥamalnā maʻa nūḥin . 'innahu kāna ʻab'dan shakūran
O ye that are sprung from those whom We carried (in the Ark) with Noah! Verily he was a devotee most grateful.

People are the descendants of those Allah carried in the ark with Nuh, and Nuh was a truly grateful servant.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How do you show you are grateful?"
Put on a reciter's Al-Isra from MY Quran and follow along for a little while.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What kind of servant was Nuh?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why is Nuh called grateful?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Isra is surah 17. Find ayah 3. Nuh, peace be upon him, thanked Allah in every situation. We all come from the people saved with him. Being grateful is a sign of a great servant.
Fact: Find the ayah that says if you are grateful Allah will give you more (Ibrahim 14:7).
Ages 5–8: Thank you jar. Write thank-you notes to Allah and put them in a jar.
Ages 9–12: Gratitude. Write three ways to show gratitude to Allah.
Finish with: "I found it in Surah ___, ayah ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say alhamdulillah for three things every day."
Action: Say alhamdulillah for three things every day.
