وَٱخْفِضْ لَهُمَا جَنَاحَ ٱلذُّلِّ مِنَ ٱلرَّحْمَةِ وَقُل رَّبِّ ٱرْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِى صَغِيرًۭا
Wa -kh'fiḍ' lahumā janāḥa dhdhulli mina rraḥ'mati waqul rrabbi (i)r'ḥam'humā kamā rabbayānī ṣaghīran
And, out of kindness, lower to them the wing of humility, and say: "My Lord! bestow on them thy Mercy even as they cherished me in childhood."

Be humble and gentle with your parents out of mercy, and pray: my Lord, have mercy on them, as they cared for me when I was small.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How does a bird protect its chicks?"
Play the short clip from Mbah Vision of Mishary Alafasy reciting ayat 23–30 of Al-Isra.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What du'a is taught for parents?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does the ayah mention when I was small?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Al-Isra is surah 17. Find ayah 24. A bird spreads its wing gently over its chicks. We should be gentle and humble with our parents too. This beautiful du'a asks Allah to care for them as they cared for us.
Fact: Learn the du'a for parents from this ayah with your teacher.
Ages 5–8: Wing of mercy. Draw a bird with its wing over its chicks.
Ages 9–12: Du'a card. Write the meaning of this du'a and give it to a parent.
Finish with: "I learned the du'a means ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say the du'a for my parents after every prayer."
Action: Say the du'a for your parents after every prayer.
