وَأَلْقَوْا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلسَّلَمَ ۖ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَفْتَرُونَ
Wa 'al'qaw' 'ilā-llahi yaw'ma'idhin ssalama . waḍalla ʻan'hum mmā kānū yaf'tarūna
That Day shall they (openly) show (their) submission to Allah; and all their inventions shall leave them in the lurch.

On that Day they will offer surrender to Allah, and everything they made up will abandon them.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Is submitting at the last moment the same as obeying all along?"
Settle down and play the start of Maher Al-Muaiqly's An-Nahl (I Love Allah).
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What abandons them?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why submit to Allah now?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Nahl is surah 16. Find ayah 87. On that Day everyone will submit, but it will be too late for those who refused before. Their false ideas vanish. Submitting now is what counts.
Fact: Find the meaning of 'Islam': submission to Allah.
Ages 5–8: Submit now. Talk about what submitting to Allah looks like each day.
Ages 9–12: Now or later. Write why submitting now matters.
Finish with: "Islam means ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will obey Allah in one hard thing."
Action: Obey Allah in one hard thing.
