وَأَوْحَىٰ رَبُّكَ إِلَى ٱلنَّحْلِ أَنِ ٱتَّخِذِى مِنَ ٱلْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًۭا وَمِنَ ٱلشَّجَرِ وَمِمَّا يَعْرِشُونَ
Wa 'aw'ḥā rabbuka 'ilā nnaḥ'li 'ani (i)ttakhidhī mina l-jibāli buyūtan wamina shshajari wamimmā yaʻ'rishūna
And thy Lord taught the Bee to build its cells in hills, on trees, and in (men's) habitations;

Your Lord inspired the bee to make its homes in the mountains, in trees and in what people build.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Who taught bees to build such amazing homes?"
Muslim Ummah posted a short recitation of ayah 68 of An-Nahl. Listen to all of it together.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Where do bees make their homes?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How do bees know how to build honeycomb?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Nahl is surah 16. Find ayah 68. This is the ayah the surah is named after. Allah taught the bee by inspiration. Bees build six-sided honeycomb cells without any lessons.
Fact: Honeycomb cells are hexagons, a shape that uses the least wax to hold the most honey. A sign to ponder.
Ages 5–8: Hexagon art. Draw a honeycomb of hexagons.
Ages 9–12: Taught by Allah. Write how bees show Allah's teaching.
Finish with: "Bees use hexagons because ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will learn three facts about bees."
Action: Learn three facts about bees.
