Start with bismillah.

Ask: "Is it fair to want good things for yourself but not others?"

For a few quiet minutes, listen to Sudais and Shuraim reciting An-Nahl, shared by darkspiderwarrior.

Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did they claim for themselves?"

Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why are double standards wrong?" Younger children can draw theirs.

Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Nahl is surah 16. Find ayah 62. They gave Allah what they disliked and wanted all the good for themselves. That's unfair and dishonest. One calm warning. Islam teaches fairness.

Fact: Search the Quran for Al-Mutaffifin 83:2–3 about taking full but giving less.

Ages 5–8: Fair share. Practise sharing equally with a sibling.

Ages 9–12: Fairness. Write why we should want for others what we want for ourselves.

Finish with: "Al-Mutaffifin 83:2 says ___."

Talk together:

• What was unfair?
• Which name of Allah does this remind you of?
• Why be fair?
• How will you share fairly?

Make a small plan: "This week, I will share fairly every time."

• Share equally.
• Share what you wrote about fairness.
