وَعَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ هَادُوا۟ حَرَّمْنَا مَا قَصَصْنَا عَلَيْكَ مِن قَبْلُ ۖ وَمَا ظَلَمْنَٰهُمْ وَلَٰكِن كَانُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ
Wa ʻalā-lladhīna hādū ḥarram'nā mā qaṣaṣ'nā ʻalay'ka min qab'lu . wamā ẓalam'nāhum' walākin kānū 'anfussahum' yaẓ'limūna
To the Jews We prohibited such things as We have mentioned to thee before: We did them no wrong, but they were used to doing wrong to themselves.

4-I guide
Allah forbade certain things to the Jews, which He told the Prophet about before; He did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Did earlier peoples have different rules?"
Listen together as Muhammad Al-Luhaidan recites part of An-Nahl of An-Nahl, a short clip shared by Luhaidan clips.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Did Allah wrong them?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did different peoples have different rules?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah An-Nahl is surah 16. Find ayah 118. Earlier peoples, like the Jews, had some different food rules, as Al-An'am 6:146 explains. Allah is always fair. We speak about other faiths with respect.
Fact: With a grown-up, look for Al-An'am 6:146, which explains this.
Ages 5–8: Respect. Talk about speaking respectfully about other faiths.
Ages 9–12: Fairness. Write how this ayah shows Allah is always fair.
Finish with: "Al-An'am 6:146 says ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will speak respectfully about everyone's faith."
Action: Speak respectfully about everyone's faith.
