وَٱسْتَفْتَحُوا۟ وَخَابَ كُلُّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٍۢ
Wa -s'taf'taḥū wakhāba kullu jabbārin ʻanīdin
But they sought victory and decision (there and then), and frustration was the lot of every powerful obstinate transgressor.

The messengers asked Allah for victory, and every proud, stubborn tyrant ended in failure.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Can someone who is proud and stubborn win forever?"
Quranic Source posted a short recitation of ayat 13–27 of Ibrahim. Listen to all of it together.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What happened to the stubborn tyrants?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why does pride lead to failure?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Ibrahim is surah 14. Find ayah 15. The messengers called on Allah for help. The proud, stubborn people who fought the truth all failed. Being humble is safer than being proud.
Fact: Open the mushaf to an ayah that says Allah does not love the proud (Luqman 31:18).
Ages 5–8: Humble or proud? Act out a humble way and a proud way to win a game.
Ages 9–12: Pride. Write why being humble is better than being stubborn.
Finish with: "In Luqman 31:18, Allah tells us ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say 'well done' to the other side after a game."
Action: Say 'well done' to the other side after a game.
