Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How would you feel if someone reminded you of an old mistake gently?"
Play the short Yusuf clip of ayat 87–95 from USRAH ILMU STUDIO.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did Yusuf ask?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did Yusuf say 'when you were ignorant'?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Yusuf is surah 12. Find ayah 89. Yusuf gently raised the past. He even gave them an excuse: 'when you were ignorant'. He wasn't trying to shame them; he was opening the door to forgiveness.
Fact: An-Nisa 4:17 speaks of those who do wrong in ignorance and then repent. Read it.
Ages 5–8: Gentle reminder. Practise reminding someone of a mistake kindly.
Ages 9–12: Giving excuses. Write why giving people a kind excuse helps.
Finish with: "An-Nisa 4:17 says ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will think of a kind excuse when someone upsets me."
Action: Think of a kind excuse when someone upsets you.
