وَسْـَٔلِ ٱلْقَرْيَةَ ٱلَّتِى كُنَّا فِيهَا وَٱلْعِيرَ ٱلَّتِىٓ أَقْبَلْنَا فِيهَا ۖ وَإِنَّا لَصَٰدِقُونَ
Wa s''ali l-qar'yata -llatī kunnā fīhā wal-ʻīra -llatī 'aq'balnā fīhā . wa'innā laṣādiqūna
"'Ask at the town where we have been and the caravan in which we returned, and (you will find) we are indeed telling the truth.'"

They said their father could ask the town they had been in and the caravan they came back with, for they were telling the truth.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How can witnesses help show the truth?"
A short clip on USRAH ILMU STUDIO recites ayat 79–86 of Yusuf. Play the whole clip.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Whom did they say to ask?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why did they offer witnesses this time?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Yusuf is surah 12. Find ayah 82. This time they had witnesses: the town and the caravan. Truth can be checked. Honest people are happy for others to check their story.
Fact: Al-Baqarah 2:282 talks about having witnesses for agreements. Look at it with a grown-up.
Ages 5–8: Check it. Talk about how we can check if a story is true.
Ages 9–12: Witnesses. Write why witnesses help honesty.
Finish with: "Al-Baqarah 2:282 asks for ___ witnesses."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will be happy for others to check my words."
Action: Be happy for others to check your words.
