ثُمَّ بَدَا لَهُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ مَا رَأَوُا۟ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ لَيَسْجُنُنَّهُۥ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍۢ
Thumma badā lahum mmin[m] baʻ'di mā ra'awu l-'āyāti layas'jununnahu ḥattā ḥīnin
Then it occurred to the men, after they had seen the signs, (that it was best) to imprison him for a time.

Even after seeing the signs of his innocence, they decided to put him in prison for a while.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "How does it feel to be blamed for something you didn't do?"
Hear the opening minutes of Yusuf in Abdur-Rahman As-Sudais's voice, from Sudais clips.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Where was Yusuf sent?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How did Yusuf stay patient in prison?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Yusuf is surah 12. Find ayah 35. Yusuf was innocent but went to prison. It was unfair. Still, Allah was with him, and prison became a place where he would teach and help others.
Fact: Al-Baqarah 2:155 says Allah tests people. Read it and find who receives good news.
Ages 5–8: Plant in a crack. Look for a plant growing in a hard place. Talk about growing in hard times.
Ages 9–12: Unfair times. Write how to stay patient when something is unfair.
Finish with: "Al-Baqarah 2:155 gives good news to ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will stay patient if something feels unfair."
Action: Stay patient if something feels unfair.
