وَأَخَذَ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ ٱلصَّيْحَةُ فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ فِى دِيَٰرِهِمْ جَٰثِمِينَ
Wa 'akhadha -lladhīna ẓalamū ṣṣay'ḥatu fa'aṣ'baḥū fī diyārihim' jāthimīna
The (mighty) Blast overtook the wrong-doers, and they lay prostrate in their homes before the morning,-

A mighty blast seized the wrongdoers, and by morning they lay lifeless in their homes.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Why do we take warnings seriously?"
For a few quiet minutes, listen to Nor Jannah Abd Rahman reciting Hud, shared by MY Quran.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What seized the wrongdoers?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "What does this teach about ignoring warnings?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Hud is surah 11. Find ayah 67. This ayah describes Thamud's end in one short line: a mighty blast. We don't dwell on it. The lesson is to heed warnings and turn to Allah.
Fact: Al-Hijr 15:80–84 also mentions the people of the rocky tract. Read it.
Ages 5–8: Heed warnings. Talk about warnings that keep us safe, like 'hot!' or 'stop!'.
Ages 9–12: Taking heed. Write why heeding warnings early matters.
Finish with: "Al-Hijr 15:82 says they carved ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will listen the first time I'm warned."
Action: Listen the first time you're warned.
