Opening the ayah…
Faʻaqarūhā faqāla tamattaʻū fī dārikum' thalāthata 'ayyāmin . dhālika waʻ'dun ghay'ru mak'dhūbin
But they did ham-string her. So he said: "Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days: (Then will be your ruin): (Behold) there a promise not to be belied!"

But they harmed her, so Salih told them to enjoy their homes for three more days, a promise that would not be broken.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What happens when people break the one rule they were given?"
Play the short Hud clip of ayat 61–68 from The Quran DVD.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "How many days were they given?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why were they given three more days?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Hud is surah 11. Find ayah 65. Thamud hurt the camel, breaking Allah's test. Even then, they got three days, a last chance to repent. Allah's warnings come true.
Fact: Ash-Shams 91:11–15 also tells this story. Read it.
Ages 5–8: Last chance. Talk about how Allah gives chances to change.
Ages 9–12: Broken test. Write why breaking a small rule mattered so much.
Finish with: "Ash-Shams 91:14 says ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will use a second chance well."
Action: Use a second chance well.
