قَالُوا۟ يَٰهُودُ مَا جِئْتَنَا بِبَيِّنَةٍۢ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِتَارِكِىٓ ءَالِهَتِنَا عَن قَوْلِكَ وَمَا نَحْنُ لَكَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ
Qālū yāhūdu mā ji''tanā bibayyinatin wamā naḥ'nu bitārikī 'ālihatinā ʻan qaw'lika wamā naḥ'nu laka bimu''minīna
They said: "O Hud! No Clear (Sign) that hast thou brought us, and we are not the ones to desert our gods on thy word! Nor shall we believe in thee!

They told Hud he had brought no clear proof, that they would not leave their gods just because he said so, and that they would not believe him.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Is it wise to refuse to change just because 'we've always done it'?"
Play the short clip of Fatih Seferagic reciting ayat 50–60 of Hud, from his own channel.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What did the people refuse to leave?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why were they so stubborn?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Hud is surah 11. Find ayah 53. 'Aad refused to listen. They held on to their false gods out of habit. Stubbornness can stop people seeing the truth.
Fact: Al-Baqarah 2:170 warns about blindly following forefathers. Read it.
Ages 5–8: Open to change. Talk about a habit that could change for the better.
Ages 9–12: Stubborn. Write why following habits blindly is dangerous.
Finish with: "Al-Baqarah 2:170 says ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will change one small habit for the better."
Action: Change one small habit for the better.
