قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَتَىٰكُمْ عَذَابُهُۥ بَيَٰتًا أَوْ نَهَارًۭا مَّاذَا يَسْتَعْجِلُ مِنْهُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ
Qul' 'ara'ay'tum' 'in' 'atākum' ʻadhābuhu bayātan 'aw' nahāran mmādhā yas'taʻ'jilu min'hu l-muj'rimūna
Say: "Do ye see,- if His punishment should come to you by night or by day,- what portion of it would the sinners wish to hasten?

Think: if Allah's punishment came by night or by day, which part of it would the guilty really want to hurry?
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Would anyone really want trouble to come faster?"
Play the short clip from Sheikh Shuraim Fajr of Saud Al-Shuraim reciting part of Yunus of Yunus.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "When might it come?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why do people dare to ask for punishment?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Yunus is surah 10. Find ayah 50. The mockers kept saying 'bring it on'. The ayah asks them to think: would they really want it if it came suddenly? This mentions punishment in one line; the lesson is to ask for Allah's mercy.
Fact: The dua 'Allahumma inni as'alukal-'afiyah', asking Allah for well-being.
Ages 5–8: Mercy dua. Practise asking Allah for safety and well-being.
Ages 9–12: Think first. Write why it is foolish to ask for harm.
Finish with: "Al-'afiyah means well-being and ___."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will ask Allah for well-being every morning."
Action: Ask Allah for well-being every morning.
