وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُونَ إِلَيْكَ ۚ أَفَأَنتَ تُسْمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ وَلَوْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ
Wa min'hum mman yas'tamiʻūna 'ilay'ka . 'afa'anta tus'miʻu ṣṣumma walaw' kānū lā yaʻ'qilūna
Among them are some who (pretend to) listen to thee: But canst thou make the deaf to hear,- even though they are without understanding?

4-I guide
Some people seem to listen to the Prophet, but he cannot make the deaf hear, especially when they refuse to understand.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "Is listening the same as hearing?"
Play the recitation with your eyes closed and really listen, not just hear.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "What can't the Prophet do?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "Why can someone hear words but not take them in?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Yunus is surah 10. Find ayah 42. Some people listened with their ears but closed their hearts. The ayah calls them 'deaf' in meaning. Real listening means letting words reach your heart.
Fact: How sound travels into the ear and reaches the brain. A sign to ponder.
Ages 5–8: Listening game. One person says a sentence; the other repeats it exactly.
Ages 9–12: Heart listening. Write what helps you listen with your heart to the Qur'an.
Finish with: "Sound makes the ___ in our ear vibrate."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will listen fully when someone speaks to me."
Action: Listen fully when someone speaks to you.
