كَذَٰلِكَ حَقَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ فَسَقُوٓا۟ أَنَّهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
Kadhālika ḥaqqat' kalimatu rabbika ʻalā-lladhīna fassaqū 'annahum' lā yu''minūna
Thus is the word of thy Lord proved true against those who rebel: Verily they will not believe.

In this way Allah's word came true about those who kept defying Him: they would not believe.
Start with bismillah.
Ask: "What happens to a door you keep slamming shut?"
Listen together as Syed Sleem recites ayat 31–40 of Yunus, a short clip shared by Islam official146.
Now listen to the ayah together in the app, with the translation. Ask: "Who does Allah's word come true about?"
Each child keeps one wonder question, for example: "How does stubbornness close the heart?" Younger children can draw theirs.
Find it in the mushaf: Surah Yunus is surah 10. Find ayah 33. Some people keep rejecting the truth again and again. Allah knew they would not believe, and His word about them came true. The lesson is to keep our hearts open and soft.
Fact: Find the dua for a firm heart in Al-Imran 3:8: our Lord, do not let our hearts swerve after You have guided us.
Ages 5–8: Soft heart. Squeeze soft clay and hard clay; talk about soft hearts.
Ages 9–12: Open heart. Write three habits that keep a heart soft.
Finish with: "Al-Imran 3:8 asks Allah not to let our ___ swerve."
Talk together:
Make a small plan: "This week, I will say the dua for a firm heart."
Action: Say the dua for a firm heart.
